M/I Homes, Inc. is seeking a Construction Trainee to learn and support a team of Construction Managers in coordinating on-site activities for new subdivisions.

You will observe inspections, assist in scheduling, and help ensure quality and safety on every home build. Ideal candidates have a degree or related experience in construction, strong carpentry and blueprint-reading skills, and the ability to communicate clearly with homeowners, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's or Associates degree in Construction Management preferred or at least three years of related work experience and/or training.
• Good knowledge and understanding of the home building industry within scope of building codes, regulations, and construction processes.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the Construction Manager in coordinating on-site activities for assigned subdivisions and inspections.
• Review blueprints to ensure accuracy.
• Assist in scheduling subcontractors and monitoring completion of work and delivery of materials, tools, machinery, and equipment.
• Act as liaison between subcontractors and construction management staff and report issues.
• Perform minor repairs prior to pre-settlement inspections.
• Communicate with homeowners to address questions and concerns and support customer satisfaction.
• Learn processes related to Warranty, Customer Care, Sales & Design Center.
• Act on behalf of the construction superintendent in their absence.
• Enforce safety and company policy compliance; keep work areas clean.
