Job summary

Superior in Port Washington, Wisconsin is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support electrical construction projects on-site. You will assist with contracting, scheduling, estimating, bidding, and contract administration, while coordinating with the Project Manager and site team.

The role emphasizes on-site efficiency, documentation, and collaboration with field leadership to ensure timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of field or project experience on a commercial construction site or relevant degree.
• Experience in supporting construction projects in Project Operations is a plus.
• Active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage creation and submission of RFIs and integrate into project docs.
• Coordinate with vendors on submittal process lifecycle.
• Support creation, submission, and management of change orders.
• Capture progress by updating contract docs and photographing the jobsite.
• Monitor project schedule and report updates to leadership.
• Work with Foreman on delivery of materials and equipment to site.
• Lead project close-out, including documentation and warranties.
• Develop understanding of project finance alongside Operations and Finance.

Description

Position: Assistant Project Manager

Reports to: Project Manager

Location: Port Washington, Wisconsin

Pay Range: $65,000 - $110,000

Superior and our tri-venture, CST, is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to help drive our electrical construction projects forward. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for helping make operations on-site more efficient and will play a key role in our contracting, scheduling, estimating, bidding, and contract administration functions. This role is based on a jobsite in Port Washington, Wisconsin.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the creation and submission of RFI's and ensure that all RFI's are integrated into project documentation
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers on the lifecycle of the project submittal process
• Support with the creation, submission, and management of change orders
• Capture the progress of our work by updating contract documents and photographing the jobsite
• Monitor the project schedule and provide ongoing updates to Project Operations and Field Operations leadership
• Work closely with the Foreman on delivery of materials and equipment to the jobsite
• Lead project close-out, including documentation, warranties, waivers, as-builds, and attic stock
• Develop an understanding of project finance, working closely with Project Operations and Finance leadership

Your Expertise

• Required: You have at least 1 year of field or project experience on a commercial construction site (including relevant internship experience), or a degree in Construction Systems Management, Engineering, or a related field - or a Construction Management certificate
• Bonus Points: You have prior experience supporting commercial construction projects in a Project Operations role
• Bonus Points: You hold an active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
