Job summary

Superior seeks a Construction Assistant Project Manager to support electrical construction projects on site in Ironton, Ohio. You will assist with contracting, scheduling, estimating, bidding, and contract administration to drive site efficiency.

Reporting to the Project Manager, this full-time role requires at least 1 year of field or project experience on a commercial site (or related degree). OSHA 10/30 certification is a bonus; Superior offers comprehensive health, retirement, and PTO

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of field or project experience on a commercial construction site, or a degree in Construction Systems Management, Engineering, or a related field, or a Construction Management certificate.
• Bonus: experience supporting commercial construction projects in a Project Operations role.
• Bonus: active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.

Responsibilities

• Manage RFI creation and submission and integrate RFIs into project documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers on the submittal process.
• Assist with change orders creation, submission, and management.
• Track progress by updating contract documents and photographing the jobsite.
• Monitor the project schedule and report updates to leadership.
• Assist Foreman with delivery of materials and equipment to site.
• Lead project close-out including documents, warranties, waivers, as-builds, and attic stock.
• Develop understanding of project finance with operations and finance teams.

Description

Position: Assistant Project Manager
Reports to: Project Manager
Location: Ironton, Ohio
Pay Range: $65,000 - $110,000

Superior is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to help drive our electrical construction projects forward. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for helping make operations on-site more efficient and will play a key role in our contracting, scheduling, estimating, bidding, and contract administration functions. This role is based on a jobsite in Ironton, Ohio.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the creation and submission of RFI’s and ensure that all RFI’s are integrated into project documentation
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers on the lifecycle of the project submittal process
• Support with the creation, submission, and management of change orders
• Capture the progress of our work by updating contract documents and photographing the jobsite
• Monitor the project schedule and provide ongoing updates to Project Operations and Field Operations leadership
• Work closely with the Foreman on delivery of materials and equipment to the jobsite
• Lead project close-out, including documentation, warranties, waivers, as-builds, and attic stock
• Develop an understanding of project finance, working closely with Project Operations and Finance leadership

Your Expertise

• Required: You have at least 1 year of field or project experience on a commercial construction site (including relevant internship experience), or a degree in Construction Systems Management, Engineering, or a related field — or a Construction Management certificate
• Bonus Points: You have prior experience supporting commercial construction projects in a Project Operations role
• Bonus Points: You hold an active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
