Job summary

Superior and CST are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support electrical construction projects in South Bend, Indiana. Based on a jobsite, you will assist with contracting, scheduling, estimating, bidding, and contract administration to drive on-site efficiency.

The role reports to the Project Manager and requires at least 1 year of field or project experience on a commercial site, or a Construction Systems Management/Engineering degree or CM certificate; OSHA 10/30 is a bonus.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of field/project experience on a commercial construction site.
• Degree in Construction Systems Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Construction Management certificate.

Responsibilities

• Manage the creation and submission of RFI's and ensure integration into project docs.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers on submittal process lifecycle.
• Support creation, submission, and management of change orders.
• Capture progress by updating contract docs and photographing the site.
• Monitor the project schedule and provide updates to leadership.
• Work with the Foreman on delivery of materials and equipment to site.
• Lead project close-out, including documentation, warranties, waivers, as-builds.
• Develop understanding of project finance with operations and finance teams.

Description

Position: Assistant Project Manager

Reports to: Project Manager

Location: South Bend, Indiana

Pay Range: $65,000 - $110,000

Superior and our tri-venture, CST, is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to help drive our electrical construction projects forward. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for helping make operations on-site more efficient and will play a key role in our contracting, scheduling, estimating, bidding, and contract administration functions. This role is based on a jobsite in South Bend, Indiana.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the creation and submission of RFI's and ensure that all RFI's are integrated into project documentation
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers on the lifecycle of the project submittal process
• Support with the creation, submission, and management of change orders
• Capture the progress of our work by updating contract documents and photographing the jobsite
• Monitor the project schedule and provide ongoing updates to Project Operations and Field Operations leadership
• Work closely with the Foreman on delivery of materials and equipment to the jobsite
• Lead project close-out, including documentation, warranties, waivers, as-builds, and attic stock
• Develop an understanding of project finance, working closely with Project Operations and Finance leadership

Your Expertise

• Required: You have at least 1 year of field or project experience on a commercial construction site (including relevant internship experience), or a degree in Construction Systems Management, Engineering, or a related field - or a Construction Management certificate
• Bonus Points: You have prior experience supporting commercial construction projects in a Project Operations role
• Bonus Points: You hold an active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
