Job summary

Superior and CST collaborate on electrical construction projects, seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support on-site operations in Indiana. The role focuses on facilitating efficient project execution, documentation, and coordination across stakeholders.

You will assist with RFIs, submittals, change orders, and close-out activities while liaising with the Project Manager and Foreman to ensure timely delivery of materials and accurate site records.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of field or project experience on a commercial construction site (including internship) or a related degree/certification.
• Experience supporting commercial construction projects in a Project Operations role is a plus.
• Active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Manage creation and submission of RFIs and ensure RFIs are integrated into project documentation
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers on the submittal process lifecycle
• Support creation, submission, and management of change orders
• Capture project progress by updating contracts and photographing the jobsite
• Monitor project schedule and provide updates to leadership
• Work with the Foreman on delivery of materials and equipment to site
• Lead project close-out, including documentation, warranties, waivers, as-builts
• Develop understanding of project finance with leadership in Operations and Finance

Reports to: Project Manager

Location: South Bend, Indiana

Pay Range: $65,000 - $110,000

Superior and our tri-venture, CST, is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to help drive our electrical construction projects forward. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for helping make operations on-site more efficient and will play a key role in our contracting, scheduling, estimating, bidding, and contract administration functions. This role is based on a jobsite in South Bend, Indiana.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the creation and submission of RFI’s and ensure that all RFI’s are integrated into project documentation
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers on the lifecycle of the project submittal process
• Support with the creation, submission, and management of change orders
• Capture the progress of our work by updating contract documents and photographing the jobsite
• Monitor the project schedule and provide ongoing updates to Project Operations and Field Operations leadership
• Work closely with the Foreman on delivery of materials and equipment to the jobsite
• Lead project close-out, including documentation, warranties, waivers, as-builds, and attic stock
• Develop an understanding of project finance, working closely with Project Operations and Finance leadership

Your Expertise

• Required: You have at least 1 year of field or project experience on a commercial construction site (including relevant internship experience), or a degree in Construction Systems Management, Engineering, or a related field — or a Construction Management certificate
• Bonus Points: You have prior experience supporting commercial construction projects in a Project Operations role
• Bonus Points: You hold an active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
