Job summary

Superior in Port Washington, Wisconsin, is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to lead electrical construction projects on site. You will manage project teams, schedules, budgets, and align with the Superintendent and Foremen to drive safe, on-time completion.

This role requires at least 8 years of experience in commercial construction, with knowledge of design-build, hard bid, and negotiated contracts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in commercial construction project management.
• Bonus: construction/engineering degree or related certification.
• Experience with design-build, hard bid, and negotiated projects around $50M+ is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction management software and field coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead project team(s) and provide clear communication to team members, vendors, clients, and executives.
• Mitigate and manage project risk; escalate concerns and solutions promptly.
• Maintain client trust through proactive communication and collaboration.
• Oversee all project finance tasks: billings, setup, buy-out, cost control, change orders, cost-to-complete.
• Ensure execution of the full project schedule from kickoff to closeout.
• Chair project meetings with customers to review progress and plans.
• Coordinate material availability with all departments across the organization.
• Own the full scope of the project contract and negotiate changes as needed.
• Maintain a high level of safety across the jobsite.

Description

Pay Range: $135,000 - $185,000

Superior and our tri-venture, CST, is looking for a Senior Project Manager to help drive our electrical construction projects forward. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing construction projects, scheduling resources, ensuring that budgets and timelines are met, and working closely with the Superintendent and Foremen to ensure the successful progress and completion of the project. This role is based on a jobsite in Port Washington, Wisconsin.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead our project team(s) and provide clear communication and guidance to team members, vendors, clients, and executives
• Mitigate and manage project risk, and elevate concerns – and solutions – quickly to Project Operations and Field Operations leadership
• Maintain and grow the trust of clients by cultivating relationships, communicating swiftly, collaborating, and solving challenges
• Oversee all project finance requirements and lead the team through accurate billings, project setup, project buy-out, project cost control, change order management, and cost-to-complete
• Ensure compliance with the full project schedule from project kickoff to project closeout
• Chair project meetings including planning, progress updates, and reviews with customers
• Work with departments across the organization to ensure that project materials are available and in place as needed
• Own the full scope of the project contract and negotiate changes as needed
• Maintain a high degree of safety on our work across the jobsite

Your Expertise

• Required: You have at least 8 years of experience in commercial construction project management
• Bonus Points: You earned your Construction Management degree, Engineering degree, Construction Management Program certificate, or another related degree
• Bonus Points: You’re experienced with design-build, hard bid, and negotiated projects around $50M+
• Bonus Points: You have extensive knowledge in construction management software
• Bonus Points: You hold an active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
