Job summary

Energy Services of America Corporation is seeking a Corporate Revenue 606 Accountant to oversee ASC 606 revenue recognition across its subsidiaries in a construction environment. You will review contracts, MSAs, jobs, and change orders to determine appropriate revenue treatment and maintain supporting documentation.

This role partners with the CFO and SOX team to strengthen internal controls. Responsibilities include preparing monthly/quarterly schedules, supporting SEC reporting, and training

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience with ASC 606 in construction.
• Familiarity with MSAs, percentage-of-completion, and long-term contracts.
• SOX compliance knowledge and internal controls documentation.

Responsibilities

• Act as corporate ASC 606 expert across ESA subsidiaries.
• Review contracts, MSAs, jobs, and change orders to determine revenue recognition.
• Identify performance obligations and impact on revenue recognition.
• Evaluate contract modifications and variable consideration per ASC 606.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation supporting revenue conclusions.
• Support month-end/quarter-end close and contract schedules.
