Job summary

Advanced Roofing, Inc. is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist in Ft. Lauderdale, FL to support the accounting team. You will handle billing, cash application, and receivables monitoring under the Assistant Controller’s supervision.

This role offers exposure to construction accounting, cross-department collaboration, and performance reporting. Ideal for an AR professional who values accuracy and accountability.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills
• Experience using ERP systems beneficial
• Working knowledge of Excel required, advanced skills highly beneficial
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounting preferred
• Minimum of 3 years in the construction industry preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in business or accounting desired but not required
• Experience in contracting or construction environment is beneficial but not required

Responsibilities

• Prepare AIA Billing and post invoices in company’s ERP system
• Apply customer payments to ERP AR subledger and perform credits and debits to customer AR accounts
• Perform AR monitoring and collection reporting to assist senior management and field operations management
• Perform initial collection and follow-up receivable pursuit contact calls to assist in the collection of delinquent receivables
• Perform other accounting and administrative activities in support of the accounting department
• Assist Assistant Controller in preparing key metrics and analysis
