Job summary

Everus Construction Group, Inc. in Helena, MT is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to process invoices, ensure correct coding to GL accounts, job numbers, phases, and cost types, and confirm vendor data aligns with commitments and tax rules.

You will partner with the accounting team to meet vendor due dates and month-end deadlines; build strong relationships with project managers and vendors; support entry accuracy and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in accounting or two or more years working with accounts payable in a construction setting. Equivalent combinations of experience and training that would demonstrate proficiency in accounts payable.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable invoices with accurate coding to general ledger accounts, job numbers, phases, and cost types.
• Ensure vendor data aligns with purchase commitments and sales/use tax requirements.
• Meet vendor due dates, check process dates, and month-end deadlines.
• Assist in resolving AP invoice discrepancies with Project Managers, vendors, and the accounting team.
