Job summary

Technico Construction Services Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist in Long Island City, NY to manage day-to-day AP transactions, ensure accuracy, and maintain vendor relationships.

Experience with Sage 300, PO management, and job costing is required. You will collaborate with accounting, procurement, and project managers, assist in month-end closings and audits, and support process improvements.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of Sage 300 (Required).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable or related finance role.
• Strong understanding of PO management, job costing, AP transaction analysis, and credit card reconciliations.
• Construction industry experience highly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end accounts payable processes.
• Process payments via ACH, wire, checks, credit cards, and manual payments.
• Utilize Sage 300 for data entry, reporting, and reconciliation.
• Analyze AP transactions to identify discrepancies and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with project managers and procurement to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Assist in month-end closing and audits.
