Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience in construction required.
• Strong knowledge of job costing and project expense allocation.
• Experience with AP, AR, and general ledger accounting.
• Experience processing subcontractor invoices, vendor payments, and POs.
• Understanding of construction billing, progress payments, and retainage.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Track and allocate expenses to construction projects and job codes.
• Maintain accurate job costing records for labor, materials, and subcontractors.
• Review transactions for proper coding and allocation.
• Monitor project budgets, expenses, and cost discrepancies.
• Coordinate with project managers to resolve costing and billing questions.
• Assist with progress billing and retainage tracking.
• Process vendor/subcontractor invoices with proper approvals.
• Code and enter invoices, prepare payments, and reconcile statements.
• Process customer invoices and chase receivables.
• Reconcile bank accounts and the GL; close month/year with accuracy.
