Our client, a construction firm in Peekskill, NY, is seeking an Accounting Manager to join the team. The ideal candidate has construction industry accounting experience, oversees day-to-day accounting operations, ensures accurate and timely recording of all transactions, and produces monthly financial statements and other management reports.

Responsibilities include preparation and analysis of financial statements, job costing reports, budgets, cash flow projections, monthly draws, and payroll.

Qualificações

• BA/BS in Accounting (MBA preferred)
• Construction experience and/or real estate background required
• 5+ years supervisory experience
• Strong understanding of management and cost accounting principles
• Proficient with QuickBooks and Yardi

Responsabilidades

• Preparation and analysis of financial statements, job costing reports, budgets and cash flows
• Maintain general ledger and supporting schedules
• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Review contractor bills and reconcile with POs and progress billing
• Coordinate year-end audit and liaise with auditors
• Produce monthly financial statements and management reports
• Communicate with Project Managers on job-related topics
