Job summary

London Approach seeks an Assistant Controller in Wayne, PA to join its accounting and finance leadership team. The role offers hands-on ownership of accounting operations and exposure to senior leadership, with significant long-term growth potential.

You will lead month-end close, oversee job costing and WIP reporting, support budgeting and cash flow analysis, and help implement process improvements with the finance leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Construction industry experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of construction accounting, job costing, WIP, and project-based financial reporting.
• Experience with construction or project-based ERP/accounting systems.
• Strong Excel and financial reporting skills.
• Previous leadership or team oversight experience preferred.
• Hands-on, collaborative approach with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day accounting and financial operations.
• Lead and support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, and general ledger activity.
• Oversee construction accounting functions, including job costing and WIP reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow reporting, and financial analysis.
• Maintain and improve accounting controls, policies, and procedures.
• Partner cross-functionally with operations and project teams.
• Provide leadership and support to members of the accounting team.
• Assist with process improvements and future accounting system initiatives.
• Partner directly with senior financial and executive leadership.
