Job summary

Wipfli is seeking a Manager in Accounting Advisory with construction accounting expertise to deliver controller‑level advisory and lead key client engagements. You will serve as the primary contact for construction clients, reviewing WIP schedules and providing strategic guidance to improve processes and internal controls.

You’ll mentor staff and manage a remote team in a collaborative, people-first culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• 4–6 years of accounting experience.
• 3+ years managing associates and/or teams.
• CPA or CMA preferred.
• Experience with job costing, WIP schedules, retainage, and change orders
• Understanding of project-based cash flow dynamics
• Ability to travel up to 10%

Responsibilities

• Review financial reporting packages for quality and timely delivery.
• Prepare benchmarking data and KPIs for client insights.
• Present findings to clients and coordinate with engagement teams.
• Assist in budgets, forecasts, and cash flow models.
• Provide technical accounting support to clients.
• Identify inefficiencies and suggest improvements.
• Lead and coordinate US and offshore teams for quality deliverables.
• Coach staff and senior accountants in accounting matters.
