Job summary

Comunidade Metodista seeks a dedicated accounting professional to manage day-to-day activities for residential construction projects in Nashville. You will maintain job cost tracking, run budget-to-actual analyses, and handle vendor invoices and draw requests.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance, 2+ years of accounting experience, and strong Sage proficiency. This role is on-site five days a week with growth and competitive benefits in a tight-knit team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of professional accounting experience (construction experience preferred).
• Proficiency in Sage accounting software (Sage 300 CRE or similar).
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Local candidates preferred; familiarity with Nashville municipal processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities for residential construction projects.
• Maintain accurate job cost tracking, budget-to-actual reporting, and variance analysis.
• Process vendor invoices, subcontractor payments, and draw requests.
• Reconcile accounts and prepare monthly and year-end financial reports.
• Enter budgets and project data into Sage; ensure coding accuracy and documentation compliance.
• Support leadership with project financial insights and reporting needs.
• Handle bank deposits, vendor setup, and insurance/W9 tracking.
• Collaborate with project management and architecture teams for purchasing and cost monitoring.
• Assist with residential closing documentation and posting HUD statements.
