Job summary

Lee Hecht Harrison Nederland B.V. is seeking a Construction Accountant in San Francisco, CA (Onsite). The role focuses on payroll processing, project-based billing, and tight control of WIP and job costing, with strong Excel usage for analytics.

You will partner with project managers to drive accurate project financials, monitor costs, and support month-end close while ensuring timely reporting and compliance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of project accounting experience, preferably in construction.
• Strong understanding of job costing, WIP, percent complete, and construction billing.
• Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll.
• Prepare and process billing (progress, time and materials, and AIA), including AR and collections support.
• Monitor and maintain WIP schedules, percent complete, and budget-to-actual reporting.
• Review and reconcile subcontractor costs, purchase orders, vendor invoices, and change orders.
• Support month-end close, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Partner with project managers and operations teams to ensure accurate project financials and forecasting.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $45.00 per hour
