Job summary

MAAS is seeking a Constructability Review Specialist to support LAUSD's Project Execution group in design and preconstruction phases. You will review scopes, schedules, and construction documents before bidding, ensuring coordination across disciplines and identifying opportunities for value engineering.

You will prepare a comprehensive constructability review of pre-bid documents, write RFCs, and provide comments to minimize RFIs and change orders, working with the Design Manager and Owner

Qualifications

Writing RFCs and reviewing submittals and change orders.
Microsoft Word, Excel, and Bluebeam.
The ability to work quickly, efficiently, and confidently.

Responsibilities

Definition and review of the Project Requirement Document scope of work and schedule, including interim housing requirements
Value engineering recommendations at the start of design
Written comments on design deliverables identifying inconsistencies, ambiguities, conflicts, errors, and omissions, to reduce RFIs and change orders
Coordination of the construction documents across design disciplines
Comprehensive constructability review of pre-bid construction documents
