Job summary

Avsar Construction Development, Inc. seeks an experienced Constructability Review Specialist – General to support preconstruction and design review for public and educational facilities in Southern California.

You will work with the Design Manager and Owner’s Authorized Representative to ensure documents are coordinated, complete, and constructible. Responsibilities include supporting the preconstruction phase, reviewing scopes and schedules, contributing value engineering, and coordinating

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Bluebeam.
• Experience coordinating design and construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Support the Design Manager and Owner’s Authorized Representative during the preconstruction phase.
• Assist with defining and reviewing project scope, requirements, schedules, and interim housing requirements.
• Provide value engineering recommendations during the early stages of design.
• Review design deliverables and identify inconsistencies, ambiguities, conflicts, errors, and omissions in progress plans to help minimize RFIs and change orders.
• Coordinate project documents across architectural, engineering, and other design disciplines.
• Perform comprehensive constructability reviews of pre-bid construction documents.
• Collaborate with the Design Manager, Owner’s Authorized Representative, design professionals, and project stakeholders to resolve potential constructability issues.
• Review and provide input on RFIs, submittals, change orders, and related construction documentation.
