Job summary

PMCS Group, Inc. seeks a seasoned Constructability Review Specialist for our Los Angeles office.

You will support the Design Manager and Owner Authorized Representative during preconstruction, reviewing design deliverables, coordinating disciplines, and providing constructability feedback to optimise cost and schedule. The ideal candidate has 15+ years of architecture/construction experience, including roles as Construction Administrator or Project Manager on public/educational facilities with

Qualifications

Must have 15 years of full-time professional experience with an Architecture degree.
At least 10 years as a Construction Administrator and 5 years as a Designer.
Experience as Construction Administrator on public/educational facilities with project value $8M+ (single) or $80M+ combined.
Alternatively, 15 years as Project Superintendent/Project Manager on public/educational or large commercial projects with single project $30M+ and total $400M+.
Two years college coursework may substitute for education; five additional years of experience may apply.

Responsibilities

Assist in preconstruction with the Design Manager and Owner Authorized Representative.
Define and review scope of work and schedule, including interim housing requirements.
Provide constructability comments to reduce RFIs and Change Orders.
Coordinate among design disciplines and review deliverables for inconsistencies.
Prepare comprehensive constructability reviews of pre-bid documents.
