Job summary

MAAS is hiring a Constructability Review Specialist in Los Angeles, CA to support the Design Manager and Owner Authorized Representative during design and preconstruction. You will review project scope, schedule, and construction documents before the bid, recommending value engineering and coordinating multi-disciplinary drawings to minimize RFIs and change orders.

Qualifications

• Writing RFCs and reviewing submittals and change orders.
• Microsoft Word, Excel, and Bluebeam proficiency.
• Ability to work quickly, efficiently, and confidently.

Responsibilities

• Definition and review of the Project Requirement Document scope of work and schedule, including interim housing requirements.
• Value engineering recommendations at the start of design.
• Written comments on design deliverables identifying inconsistencies, ambiguities, conflicts, errors, and omissions, to reduce RFIs and change orders.
• Coordination of the construction documents across design disciplines.
• Comprehensive constructability review of pre-bid construction documents.
