Job summary

Orange County Property Appraiser is seeking a Specialist I, Constituent Services in Orlando to provide excellent service to residents and businesses. You will handle inquiries via phone, email, and in person, and prepare exemption applications under Florida law.

The role involves data entry, reviewing documents, and assisting the public with property information and exemptions. A two-year customer service background and an AA degree are expected.

Qualifications

• Two years of customer service experience required.
• Associate degree (AA) or equivalent; two years of related experience.
• Substitution: 1 year of education may be swapped for 1 year of work experience.
• CFE designation process may be started after 180-day trial period.
• Proficient with Internet, Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint and MS Teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist the public with exemption applications in person or by phone.
• Greet and assist lobby constituents and triage appointments.
• Handle approximately 5,000 phone calls and 1,200 emails annually.
• Enter taxpayer information into our systems and verify data.
• Perform research of agency property records and provide information.
