Job summary

EO is seeking an Engagement & Development Manager based in Abingdon, VA. The role reports to the VP of Development and combines constituent engagement, development operations, data management, and project coordination to strengthen relationships and growth.

The ideal candidate balances strategic thinking with hands-on execution, collaborating across Programs, Marketing, Research, and Finance to ensure timely, meaningful engagement and effective resource development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, nonprofit administration, finance, or related field.
• Three to five years of experience in education, nonprofit operations, or development-related field.
• Experience supporting CRM and data management, including reporting and process improvement.
• Experience coordinating targeted communications using CRM or related platforms.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME and administrator for EO’s CRM; configuration, data management, user support, training, optimization.
• Maintain accurate constituent and development records; promote data integrity across systems.
• Develop policies, procedures, workflows, and standards for development operations.
• Ensure compliant data privacy, security, and contribution-processing requirements.
• Coordinate flow of funding information among Development, Finance, Programs and partners.
• Plan and execute development events, campaigns, and initiatives.
• Produce reports, dashboards, and performance metrics; analyze data for insights.
