Qualifications

• Experience in community affairs, public affairs, economic development, or government relations.
• Direct experience engaging with local governments and diverse stakeholders on infrastructure projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex plans clearly.
• Willingness to travel; based in Virginia or West Virginia or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with boards, councils, commissions, agencies, and workforce partners.
• Develop and execute a community engagement strategy for Virginia and West Virginia markets.
• Build coalitions, host sessions, and design local solutions benefiting communities.
• Represent Anthropic in public forums, hearings, events, and local media.
• Monitor sentiment and advise on risks and opportunities to internal teams.
• Partner with Real Estate and Infrastructure to incorporate community input.
• Coordinate messaging with Communications and manage charitable giving.
• Collaborate with Energy and Sustainability on environmental stewardship.
