Job summary

VOA Chesapeake and Carolinas is seeking a Development Manager to lead communications for fundraising campaigns, events, and donor engagement. The role focuses on managing VOACC's e-newsletter, social media, and website updates, while producing compelling consumer stories.

You will collaborate with vendors to create marketing materials and analyze media markets for outreach impact, reporting on engagement and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Suite and WordPress.
• Experience in nonprofit or fundraising communications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Implement communications strategies that promote VOACC’s fundraising campaigns, events and donor engagement.
• Manage VOACC’s monthly e-newsletter and social media presence for an external audience of donors and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with external vendors to create digital and printed marketing collateral.
• Publish updates to VOACC’s website, ensuring content is accurate and engaging.
• Analyze media markets to identify reporters and influencers for outreach.
• Coordinate logistics for projects and events, and assist with consumer stories to demonstrate impact.
• Measure and report on the effectiveness of communications activities and engagement.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Communications or Marketing
