Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE) is seeking a Senior Director, Corporate Accounting to lead the consolidated financial reporting across multiple entities, ensure US GAAP compliance, and partner with external auditors.

This role drives close processes, ownership of journal entries, intercompany eliminations, and disclosures while enhancing controls and automating reporting using D365 and related tools. Strong leadership and multi-entity experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• CPA certification strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of dynamic accounting experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing accounting teams.
• Strong background in financial consolidations and external audit management.
• Experience managing multi-entity accounting environments.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Experience with FloQast or BlackLine workflow and audit support.

Responsabilités

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation process for multiple domestic entities and lines of business.
• Review consolidation journal entries, intercompany eliminations, and ownership roll-forward schedules.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of consolidated financial statements and disclosures.
• Coordinate reporting calendars and close requirements across all legal entities.
• Maintain and enhance consolidation processes, controls, and reporting structures.
• Review complex account reconciliations and balance sheet analyses related to consolidated reporting.
• Partner with operating entities to ensure consistent application of accounting policies and standards.
• Support executive leadership through preparation and analysis of consolidated financial results and key metrics.
• Coordinate audit planning, requests, deliverables, and timelines across the organization.
• Monitor and address control deficiencies, audit findings, and management recommendations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ready for interim and year-end audits.
• Lead research and documentation of complex accounting matters under U.S. GAAP.
• Prepare and review accounting position papers and technical memoranda.
• Oversee implementation of new accounting standards and disclosure requirements.
• Drive modernization and automation of consolidation, close, and reporting processes.
• Partner with technology and finance leadership to optimize D365 and related reporting apps.
