Job summary

Monumental Sports & Entertainment seeks a Senior Director, Corporate Accounting in Washington, DC, to lead the consolidated financial reporting process across multiple entities and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors.

You will manage monthly close, intercompany eliminations, disclosures, and policy application under U.S. GAAP, driving process improvements while mentoring accounting teams. CPA and 10+ years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or related field) required.
• CPA certification strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of dynamic accounting experience.
• 5+ years leading accounting teams.
• Strong experience in consolidations and external audit management.
• Extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation processes across multiple entities.
• Review consolidation entries, intercompany eliminations, and ownership roll-forward schedules.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of consolidated financial statements and disclosures.
• Coordinate close calendars and reporting across all legal entities.
• Enhance consolidation processes, controls, and reporting structures.
• Review complex reconciliations and balance sheet analyses for consolidated reporting.
• Partner with operating entities to apply accounting policies consistently.
• Support leadership with analysis of consolidated results and metrics.
• Coordinate audit planning, requests, and timelines across the organization.
• Address control deficiencies and audit findings; support year-end procedures.
• Lead research and documentation of complex U.S. GAAP accounting matters.
