Qualifications

• Experience in CPS or child welfare is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication required.

Responsibilities

• Receives cases from investigators after children are removed and placed in CPS conservatorship.
• Assesses each child’s needs and arranges referrals for services and evaluations.
• Plans with families and community partners for permanency outcomes.
• Identifies kinship or foster resources and completes home studies.
• Meet with parents to assess risk and safety, guiding progress toward permanency.
• Collaborates with a Placement Team for timely placements and supports.
• Visits children monthly to discuss safety, needs, and progress.
• Attends court hearings, prepares reports, and testifies when required.
• Maintains case records with narratives and forms for ongoing accountability.
• Fosters relationships with law enforcement, attorneys, and courts.
