Job summary

The California Conservation Corps (CCC) is seeking a Conservationist 2 to lead the Corpsmember Development (CMD) and oversee orientation, motivation, education and training activities. The role may require evening and weekend CMD coverage and collaboration with a peer Conservationist 2 for all Corpsmembers.

The position reports to the Conservationist Supervisor and is based at the Pomona Center, with a focus on district training and partnerships with local educators and programs.

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong, effective and professional communications skills
• Ability to work effectively with others as part of a team
• Knowledge of youth development principles and practices
• Knowledge of the Conservation Corps is preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead CMD program activities for Corpsmembers and coordinate with CMD for all CMs
• Draft implementation plans for district training and education programs
• Collaborate with local educators and training providers to secure opportunities
• Provide backup to peer Conservationist 2 CMD as needed
