The California Conservation Corps (CCC) seeks a Backcountry Trails Camp Supervisor to lead, mentor and develop a crew of young people in remote backcountry settings for six months. The role emphasizes safety, welfare, and professional growth of corps members while performing demanding fieldwork.

Under supervision from program management, the incumbent will plan curriculum, supervise trail projects, and perform various administrative duties to support operations.

Qualifications

• Supervising six or more people (ages 16–26) in an organization requiring task completion.

Responsibilities

• Manage, direct, and supervise a backcountry trail crew.
• Facilitate individual development and crew community.
• Train crew in trail repair, wilderness living, navigation, and camp operations.
• Develop and implement a season-long curriculum plan.
• Manage trail projects and supervise crew performing trail work.
