The Illinois Department of Natural Resources is hiring a Natural Resources Manager I to lead the Conservation Stewardship Program and supervise field staff. The role supports program review, policy guidance, and statewide inspections.

Travel across the state is required and the position is hybrid, with in-office days to meet operational needs. A bachelor’s degree and five years of related experience are required.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in fish, wildlife, forestry or natural heritage resource management or related biological science.
• Five years progressively responsible professional experience in fish, wildlife, forestry, or natural heritage resource management.

Mansioni

• Administers the Department's Conservation Stewardship Program under general direction.
• Provides information to coordinate implementation of the Conservation Stewardship Program with the Illinois Department of Revenue.
• Develops and updates the Conservation Stewardship operations manual.
• Serves as full-line supervisor.
• Oversees information systems for reviewing applications to the Illinois Conservation Stewardship Program.
• Performs other duties within the scope of duties.
