Teaching Specialists provide classroom teaching for courses that supplement the faculty offerings and/or expertise of the faculty. The teaching specialist also provides a source of classroom substitute instruction. The title may be used for credit and non-credit courses, workshops, seminars, and conferences. It is not normally expected that persons in this classification would be expected to fulfill the other missions of the University. Service to the unit, college, or campus may be expected.
Pay Range: $3,500 per credit; $10,500 total – paid out bi-weekly over the term, depending on education/qualifications/experience.
