Job summary

GlycoData is seeking a Senior Associate Scientist (contract) for the Upstream Polysaccharide Process Development team. The ideal candidate will have experience in microbial fermentation and upstream processing, responsible for designing and executing experiments to optimize polysaccharide manufacturing processes.

This role emphasizes collaboration, hands-on lab experience, and a solid understanding of aseptic techniques. Ideal candidates will contribute to process development, prepare technical reports, and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience for MSc; 5 for BSc.
• Hands-on microbial culture and fermentation experience required.
• Experience with analytical technologies and process automation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on experimental design and execute experiments.
• Support study design for upstream polysaccharide fermentation.
• Prepare media, operate fermentation processes, and analyze data.
• Document all activities in lab notebooks and electronic formats.
