Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a Senior Manager, Congress Engagement in the Princeton area to drive strategic planning and execution of the company’s congress initiatives. You will lead sponsorship strategy, thought leader engagement, booth planning and cross-functional collaboration to ensure high-quality outcomes.

You will coordinate multi-congress programs, manage budgets, develop content, and generate metrics to guide future decisions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years’ congress management experience or relevant experience in pharmaceutical marketing and/or medical affairs preferred.
• College degree required.
• Proven ability to lead without authority and influence across the matrix team.
• Excellent collaboration skills with a diplomatic approach.
• Strategic thinking, clear communication and negotiation with key stakeholders across a global matrix.
• Innovative mindset focused on simplification and cost-effectiveness.
• Proactive, resourceful results-oriented and able to work independently.
• Strong time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks with deadlines.
• Agility to prioritize and make quick decisions in changing environments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate tactical sponsorship planning by aligning internal teams for effective execution and results.
• Uphold BMS congress standards for consistent, high-quality execution across activities.
• Support congress pre-planning operations roadmap and assist Senior Managers, Congress Operations and Planning.
• Contribute to planning major congresses as Engagement Lead or Tactical Lead while coordinating multiple Tier 1 and 2 congresses.
• Support content development of congress communications and briefings.
• Engage with cross-functional colleagues to improve planning and execution across all congress phases.
• Develop and implement Thought Leader Encounter strategies with budget management for congress execution.
• Lead booth exhibition planning, materials development, staffing, and budgeting.
• Collect congress metrics and insights to inform future decisions.
