Job summary

Winston Staffing seeks a Conflicts Specialist (Laterals) in New York to prepare conflict check reports and support new business intake. The role requires law firm conflicts experience and strong research skills, including online background checks and ethical walls consideration.

You will work with attorneys and staff to gather data, update internal records, and maintain confidentiality. Proficiency with Intapp Open and other firm systems is a plus, along with a willingness to learn and handle

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years in a law firm conflicts.
• Experience with conflicts checks, new business intake and ethical walls is preferred.
• Familiarity with Intapp Open, 3E and Avention is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review incoming firm-wide partner, attorney and paralegal conflict check submission forms.
• Prepare conflict check reports using Intapp, in-house systems and online research tools.
• Communicate with attorneys and staff to obtain needed information and provide data in a useful, accurate way.
• Update the Firm’s internal records and retrieve engagement letters, waivers and client information as needed.
• Assist the Conflicts team with day-to-day operations, including new business intake and client background checks.
• Adhere to information security policies and protect firm assets; report security risks.
