Job summary

Wood, Smith, Henning & Berman LLP seeks a remote Conflicts Analyst based in the Pacific Time Zone to support the conflicts team in opening new matters and onboarding attorneys. The role requires at least one year of conflicts experience in a professional setting.

You will conduct conflict checks, summarize findings for attorneys, and collaborate with the Conflicts Supervisor and Manager. Travel is not required, and a flexible home‑based schedule is offered.

  • Research prospective clients and other entities in internal databases and external references.
  • Provide clear and well written summaries of potential conflicts issues and possible resolutions to attorneys using established guidelines.
  • Regularly consult with the Supervisor and Manager to discuss conflicts reports and responses from attorneys that require additional review and suggest resolutions.
  • Follows up in a timely manner with attorneys and assistants to ensure resolution of conflicts issues.
  • Responds accurately to department email inquiries in a timely fashion.
  • Completes special projects as assigned.
  • Be available for overtime as needed.

Job description

National law firm is seeking a candidate residing in the Pacific Standard Time (PST) Zone for a fully remote Conflicts Analyst position. The analyst will work closely with the Conflicts Supervisor, Conflicts Manager, members of the Conflicts Department and the Firmwide Managing Partner to support attorneys with opening new matters as well as onboarding new attorneys. Candidates must have at least one year of legal conflicts experience.

Candidates must reside in a state in the PST time zone where WSHB has an office (see below) – no exceptions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide clear and well written summaries of potential conflicts issues and possible resolutions to attorneys using established guidelines.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Comfortable communicating with Supervisor, Manager, attorneys, and support staff.
  • Prior conflicts experience with a law firm, a professional service, or academic environment is preferred.
