Consilio LLC's Direct Hire Division is recruiting a Lateral Conflicts Analyst for its client firm in New York City or San Francisco. The role focuses on thorough conflicts checks for lateral hires and requires discretion and strong analytical skills.

You will use conflicts software and AI-assisted research tools, prepare memoranda, and advise lateral attorneys. Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in conflicts analysis, legal assistance, or a similar decision-making role within a law firm environment.
• Familiarity with law firm conflicts systems, databases, and Microsoft Word is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
• Quick learner with the ability to understand and apply conflict of interest principles, exercising sound judgment and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, with flexibility to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive conflicts checks for all attorney and paralegal lateral hires, including overseas staff, collaborating closely with Resolution Attorneys and Staff Recruiting teams.
• Generate, review, and analyze conflict reports using the firm’s conflicts software, AI-assisted research tools, and protocol standards.
• Maintain and update corporate family trees to streamline conflict resolution processes.
• Prepare detailed Lateral Conflict Memoranda in accordance with firm procedures.
• Summarize conflicts analysis findings and provide strategic recommendations to lateral attorneys for review and resolution.
• Coordinate with the Office of General Counsel to obtain approval of Director/Officer forms for various firm stakeholders.
• Handle conflict-related inquiries via the department hotline and prepare informational reports for Business Development purposes.

The Direct Hire Division of Consilio, LLC is working with a highly regarded firm that is seeking to hire a Lateral Conflicts Analyst to join their NYC or San Francisco office. This position is not with Consilio directly; it is a direct hire, permanent opportunity with the law firm.

About the Role:

Join a dynamic legal team as a Lateral Conflicts Analyst, supporting the firm's commitment to integrity, excellence, and client service. The role can be housed in New York or San Francisco, and will play a pivotal role in ensuring conflict of interest checks are thorough, accurate, and efficient, enabling strategic lateral hires across the firm. Key Responsibilities:

Conflicts Analysis & Onboarding:

• Conduct comprehensive conflicts checks for all attorney and paralegal lateral hires, including overseas staff, collaborating closely with Resolution Attorneys and Staff Recruiting teams.
• Generate, review, and analyze conflict reports using the firm’s conflicts software, AI-assisted research tools, and protocol standards.
• Conduct factual research to identify potential conflicts, including:

Status of matters (open or closed)

Entity roles within ongoing or past matters

Corporate affiliate relationships utilizing commercial databases and AI-enhanced research

• Maintain and update corporate family trees to streamline conflict resolution processes
• Prepare detailed Lateral Conflict Memoranda in accordance with firm procedures.
• Summarize conflicts analysis findings and provide strategic recommendations to lateral attorneys for review and resolution.
• Coordinate with the Office of General Counsel to obtain approval of Director/Officer forms for various firm stakeholders, including Partners, Of Counsel, Associates, VIAs, Summer Associates, First-Year Associates, and Paralegals.
• Handle conflict-related inquiries via the department hotline and prepare informational reports for Business Development purposes.

Conflicts Operations & Compliance:

• Create and manage ethical walls in accordance with firm policies and client confidentiality standards.
• Leverage current technology and AI tools to improve operational efficiency, collaboration, and client satisfaction.
• Participate in departmental initiatives aimed at process improvements, operational efficiencies, and enhancing the firm’s compliance standards.

About You:
