Job summary

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) in California seeks a Conflict Simulation Software Engineer and Technical Trainer to support JCATS and JLOD. You will divide time between software DevOps, testing, and delivering JCATS operations training to LLNL and customer sites.

Role includes developing test plans, automated testing workflows, and training courses; reporting to the CSL/GS-CAD leadership. SES.1/SES.2 levels apply based on experience and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance, requiring U.S. citizenship.
• Sufficient verbal and written communication skills to collaborate in a team environment.
• Ability to perform effectively under time constraints and adapt to changing scenarios.
• Fundamental knowledge of military operations, organization, and nomenclature.

Responsibilities

• Support JCATS and JLOD software DevOps activities including builds, configuration management, release prep, deployment, and sustainment.
• Develop and execute integration, regression, system, and acceptance test plans.
• Collaborate with developers, systems engineers, analysts, and users to improve software quality and reliability.
• Develop and deliver JCATS training courses at LLNL and customer sites.
• Travel to customer sites to deliver training and support customer requirements.
