Job Description

The Configuration Manager is responsible for implementing and executing the process daily in line with global standards within a specific domain. This domain may cover one or more geographic regions, delivery organizations, service lines, or customer accounts. The role involves managing all activities related to planning, identifying, controlling, tracking, and auditing Configuration Items (CIs) within the Standard Reference Architecture (SRA) Configuration Management Database (CMDB).

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the Configuration Management Plan to guide the implementation and operation of the global process within the domain.
• Manage the planning, identification, control, tracking, and auditing of all Configuration Items in the CMDB.
• Ensure CI data accuracy, integrity, and completeness to meet business needs and conform to global standards.
• Lead evaluations to identify process, automation, and operational improvements.
• Handle Service Discovery and mapping, troubleshooting CMDB discovery issues, and ensuring all CIs are correctly entered into the environment.
• Promote effective use of the Configuration Management process and data in line with company standards.
• Produce and review metric reports on CMDB quality and maturity assessments.
• Ensure data consistency and integrity through verification and audit procedures.
• Maintain supporting documentation and training materials.
• Support the KPE completeness process by monitoring and auditing active KPEs.
