Responsibilities

1. Follow best software development practices, lead design, code review, and test plan reviews.
2. Design distributed systems with reliability, scalability, and performance in mind.
3. Own the design and implementation of new systems.
4. Identify and address technical debt.
5. Drive engineering and operational excellence improvements.
6. Participate in on-call rotations and operational duties.
7. Debug and resolve customer-reported issues.
8. Assist in sprint planning and team estimation.
9. Mentor junior engineers through reviews, tech talks, and pair programming.

Minimum Requirements

1. 5+ years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent; or 3 years with a Master’s degree.
2. Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
3. Proficiency with Big Data technologies like Apache Spark, Presto/Trino, etc.
4. Experience with scalable data solutions such as ElasticSearch, Snowflake, etc.
5. Strong foundation in computer science principles.
6. Experience developing and tuning high-concurrency systems.
7. Leadership ability in technical decision-making and mentoring.
8. Proficiency in Java, C#, or Go.
9. Experience with automated testing at various levels.
10. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
