Job summary

CTS Technology Solutions, Inc. in Oklahoma City seeks a Configuration Management Specialist for the B-52 CERP engine replacement program. Candidates must be US citizens and able to obtain a Secret clearance.

The role covers adapting modern engine tech into a 1950s airframe, with responsibilities spanning configuration management, CSA, and kitting planning for engineering teams. Responsibilities include guiding designers on military configuration rules, organizing drawing structures for engineers

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree and typically 5+ years related work experience or equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years).
• ABET accreditation preferred in the USA but not required.

Responsibilities

• Inform designers on the rules of military configuration management.
• Determine what type of kitting is necessary to perform the modification and how to organize the drawing structure for engineers and the modification facility.
• Ensure configuration status accounting (CSA) creation and updates.

Overview

B-52 CERP is an engine replacement program. Company Oklahoma City is in charge of implementing a new engine and systems involved with an engine. This means adapting 2020 engine technology into a 1950s airplane architecture. The engine on the aircraft not only provides thrust but Bleed air to provide cooling to the aircraft, hydraulic power to move large surfaces, electrical power for the electronics. The controls for that engine will be in the cockpit.
(6) Configuration Management Specialists. Ability to be able to inform the designers on the rules of military configuration management. What type of kitting is necessary in order to perform the modification, how to organize the drawing structure for the engineers and for the modification facility.

12+ months — possible extension and possible FTE opportunity.

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
