We are hiring immediately for part time CONFERENCE SERVICES ATTENDANT positions.

Location: Warren Conference Center & Inn - 529 Chestnut Street, Ashland, MA 01721. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Part time schedule. Days and hours may vary; nights and weekends are included. More details upon interview.

Requirement: No previous experience required.

Perks: Willing to train!

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

Job Summary: Ensures that all meeting rooms and public areas of the facility are maintained to the highest level of professional appearance and that all meeting requirements are met prior to the meeting start time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Moves and places tables, chairs, and supply linens for each event in the conference center.
  2. Supplies and sets up items not included in the room (flipcharts, whiteboard, screens, etc.).
  3. Assists with conference room readiness to determine that the rooms are equipped with proper materials (pens, pads, handouts, event packages, etc.).
  4. Refreshes rooms between meetings.
  5. Provides prompt and detailed service as scheduled by management or by request.
  6. Maintains consistent phone and email communication with clients, guests, team members, and support departments.
  7. Offers assistance to clients and visitors throughout the building, including providing directions and escorting to conference rooms.
  8. Communicates with co-workers and service partners to ensure updated information is shared.
  9. Provides recommendations to planning managers regarding appropriate room setups. Collaborates to identify solutions for unique setup challenges.
  10. Conducts weekly site inspections of meeting rooms and contacts the necessary department if items require service.
  11. Assists with basic audio visual equipment, as needed.
  12. Maintains inventory of all supplies and notifies supervisors when additional supplies are needed.
  13. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. Previous customer service or houseman/porter experience preferred.
  2. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  3. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
