Job summary

The Building People is seeking an experienced Conference Room / Audio-Visual Technician for upcoming opportunities in the Maryland area. The role covers scheduling conference spaces, configuring AV setups, and providing event support to ensure seamless meetings.

Responsibilities include handling AV equipment, coordinating with IT for maintenance, and maintaining help desk operations. A strong customer service mindset and proven AV expertise are required, with background screening as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of AV setup and support experience.
• Minimum 5 years of special events management and room setup experience.
• Experience operating modern audiovisual technologies and telecommunications equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and maintain AV systems.
• Experience with conference room reservation systems.
• Ability to inspect and maintain AED units.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Background screening and government clearance may be required.
• Telework arrangements may change based on customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate conference room reservations.
• Set up conference rooms, training rooms, and event spaces.
• Configure tables, chairs, podiums, microphones, projectors, televisions, and other AV equipment.
• Operate and troubleshoot sound, lighting, and audiovisual systems.
• Provide live meeting and event support.
• Maintain collaboration center help desk operations.
• Inspect and maintain conference room technology.
• Coordinate AV maintenance issues with IT support personnel.
• Support special events and meeting logistics.
• Assist other contract functions during periods of lower AV demand.
