It’s not for everyone but we’re not looking for everyone-we’re looking for you.IF YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES, HERE'S WHAT YOU’LL GET$19.25/hrPaid Vacation & Sick Time401k program eligibility with employer match after a year of employment with 1,000 hours of serviceFREE or deeply discounted season passes for you and your dependentsEmployee Recognition Programs (including daily, monthly, yearly, and seniority programs)Seasonal employee partiesRegular free employee breakfasts/lunches, family events, and partiesFor a full listing of employee perks both on and off-property, click hereSUMMARYThe Condo Housekeeping Supervisor directs condo housekeeping program to ensure clean, orderly and attractive conditions of establishment by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following, other duties may be assigned)Responsible for all condo units and dog house/cellar areas, vehicles and outside deck and front entrance areas of each unit.Establish standards and procedures for the work of the housekeeping staff.Ensure that the training programs are in place and following; training employees on proper grooming and uniform standards and safety, proper and efficient usage of all equipment, vehicles and chemicals.Inspect and evaluate physical condition of establishment to ensure all areas assigned to are clean and maintained to standard on a daily basis.Ensure a work order is completed for all painting, repairs, furnishings, relocation of equipment and reallocation of space.Inventory supplies and replace as needed, reporting missing inventory from a unit and alerting Manager of inventory needed for stock room.Regularly inspect equipment to ensure equipment is working properly including vacuum cleaners, vehicles, pad locks on caddies, safety equipment in caddies, etc.Plans work schedules to ensure adequate service and to ensure staffing levels are appropriate with business levels.Ensure the staff are in uniform, neat and respectful.Assist with daily paperwork as needed.Withhold a professional attitude and environment at all times.DAY SHIFT DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES o Driving a company vehicle on-site as needed to transport/deliver operational items and housekeeping teams.Transporting linens to/from laundry/storage areas as needed. o Training / onboarding housekeeping staff members. o Enforcing standards and policies with housekeeping staff.Conducting quality assurance inspections. o Assists in preparation and completion of daily paperwork.Time management – Accomplish assigned tasks in a timely manner, motivates team members to perform duties in timely manner.Monitoring unit status & reporting any maintenance items as needed to ensure proper working order of all guest accommodations.Delivering operational items to units for housekeeping teams. o Clearing units in preparation for cleaning services to include removing linens, towels, rubbish, etc. o Assisting housekeeping teams as needed.Stocking vehicles and storage areas with linens & cleaning supplies as needed.Other duties as assigned by supervisor, which could be directly related, or unrelated to original position.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESDirectly supervises 14-20 employees in the Condo Housekeeping department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.COMPUTER SKILLSTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Processing software.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSMust hold a valid State of Vermont Driver’s License and be eligible for enrollment as a driver on Jay Peak Resort’s Commercial Automobile policy.OTHER REQUIREMENTSThe ability to handle cleaning chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.RESORT CONDITIONSThis is a Winter Resort Area. It requires that work venues are varied, and in many cases include steep stairways, multilevel buildings and outdoor work areas, subject to very cold, sometimes wet or very sunny work sites. Some facilities are located at the base or bottom area and some are semi-remote and can only be reached by traveling via chair lift(s), skis or snowboards. Walking surfaces are frequently frozen, sloped and slippery. Proper footwear is a must, indoors and out. Work days and hours, as well as the number of hours required will vary, with an emphasis on weekends and holidays.
