Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is hiring for a construction laborer to prepare sites and perform daily housekeeping and concrete-related tasks. Responsibilities include operating jackhammers, mixing and pouring concrete, and assisting with formwork and safety procedures.

The role requires following plans and instructions, working with multiple teams, and maintaining equipment and site cleanliness. Good communication and safety awareness are essential for successful site operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior field experience helpful.
• Follows instructions and established guidelines; typically works under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate jackhammers and drills to break concrete or pavement.
• Position, join, align and seal structural components.
• Mix and spread concrete using portable cement mixers.
• Signal equipment operators for proper movement of machinery and materials.
• Finish concrete using floats, trowels, and screeds; ensure smooth surfaces.
• Operate pumps, compressors, and generators to power tools and move materials.
• Maintain and repair machinery, equipment, and tools.
• Read and interpret plans and specifications to guide work activities.
• Set up and dismantle forms, scaffolding, and temporary structures.
• Maintain site safety and housekeeping; observe waste handling guidelines.
