American Concrete Products is a leading manufacturer of quality concrete products for various industries. We are currently hiring for a Quality Control Technician to perform and document quality control inspections of all types of precast concrete products.

Overview: Under the direction of the Quality Control Manager within the Operations department, the Quality Control Inspector performs and documents quality control inspections of all types of precast concrete products. The inspection process includes evaluating pieces for dimensional accuracy, required tolerances, aesthetic appearance, and interpreting piece tickets and production drawings (blueprints). The quality control technician is also responsible for daily shipping and receiving of finished products and raw materials.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Performs pre-pour inspection of all forms, reinforcement, steel, and inserts to maintain workflow and assists in reducing delays and rework.
2. Maintains daily and project production records.
3. Checks and verifies all dimensions of cast-in embeds.
4. Completes daily Quality Control documentation.
5. Inspects all finished products, documents, and follows up on any that require patching or rework.
6. Ensures all precast products are correctly marked.
7. Assists other Quality Control personnel in testing materials and finished products as required.
8. Maintains plant and yard safety in accordance with the Company Safety Manual, under the supervision of the Safety Coordinator.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ Years of Concrete Experience
• Willingness to complete an ACI certification within the first 6 months of employment
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
• High coordination and organization skills
• Proficient in reading a tape measure
• Blueprint reading skills are a plus
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (rarely)
• Ability to be on your feet all day
