Job summary

Oldcastle APG in California is seeking a Production Operator to support concrete production. Under supervision, you will operate and maintain concrete handling equipment, inspect product quality, and report issues to the Plant Manager.

This role requires at least 3 years of equipment experience, the ability to read safety procedures, lift up to 75 lbs, and wear PPE. The position offers competitive hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment preferred.
• Experience operating Tiger/Columbia/Rekers/Masa/Hess/Besser equipment.
• At least 3 years of experience operating similar equipment.
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent.
• Ability to read and comprehend safety procedures and operating instructions.
• Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in dusty, hot or cold conditions.
• Must wear company PPE and provide safety boots/shoes.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain concrete handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect product quality and adjust settings as needed.
• Detect and report equipment malfunctions and quality issues.
• Assist in maintaining accurate production flow and reporting.
• Record and report quality data (moisture, density, height, material consumption).
• Update communication boards and participate in shift huddles.
• Inspect and prepare molds.
• Perform machine cleanup and setup for product changes.
• Execute daily and business fundamentals.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisory staff.
• Cross-train on other aspects of production.
