Job summary

Oldcastle APG in Northfield, IL is hiring an Equipment and Machine Operator to run plant machinery and produce concrete products. You will follow safety policies and ensure a high-quality output while maintaining production standards.

Requirements include a high school diploma or at least 1 year of experience, ability to read safety and operating manuals, ability to lift up to 75 pounds, and use of PPE such as ear plugs, hard hat, steel-toe shoes, and safety glasses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or 1+ year of production experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety procedures, operating instructions, and manuals.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds with assistance if needed and work at heights up to 4 feet.

Responsibilities

• Operate plant machinery to produce concrete products from raw materials to yard stage.
• Inspect product quality against standards and report variances.
• Maintain production records and assist with machine setup and changeovers.
• Monitor machinery, report malfunctions, and ensure housekeeping and safety procedures are followed.
• Cross-train in other production areas as needed by supervision.
