Job summary

Amrize North America Inc. in Columbus, OH is seeking a plant operator to batch concrete and perform daily plant maintenance while delivering excellent customer service to internal and external customers.

You will handle batching with computer or manual controls, maintain equipment, and ensure safety regulations are followed. Candidates should be able to work overtime, lift and shovel, and communicate effectively with team members. Bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Self-directed with minimal supervision.
• Basic computer and math skills required.
• Must use PPE as required.
• Physical ability to sit/stand, lift, climb.

Responsibilities

• Batch concrete with proper mix using computer or manual controls.
• Perform daily plant maintenance and minor adjustments.
• Inspect plant and equipment daily.
• Prioritize work and manage multiple tasks.
• Interact professionally with internal and external customers.
• Communicate with team to maximize productivity.
• Identify problems with plant and report to management.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Report unsafe conditions to supervisor immediately.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
