Job summary

UES, Inc. is seeking a Concrete Laboratory Technician to join our Memphis team. You will perform testing of concrete and related construction materials, ensuring accuracy and compliance with ASTM, AASHTO, and ACI standards, and you will document results to support project decisions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical coursework preferred.
• 0-3 years experience in construction materials testing or geotechnical lab work.
• Safety-focused with PPE and OSHA protocols adherence.
• Able to read and interpret procedures and reports related to testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing of concrete and related materials per ASTM, AASHTO, ACI and project requirements.
• Receive, identify, prepare, cure, and test concrete specimens.
• Perform compressive strength testing and other required concrete tests.
• Accurately document test results and maintain records.
• Coordinate with field technicians and project teams on testing needs.
• Operate, calibrate, clean, and maintain lab equipment.
• Maintain a safe, organized laboratory environment and follow QA procedures.
