Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a hands-on trainee for our concrete production operations in Houston, TX. This role blends office and field work at plants and sites, focusing on learning production processes, quality control, inventory management, and logistics support.

You will work with plant and field teams, participate in cross-functional projects to boost efficiency and safety, and develop leadership and technical skills through hands-on training and mentorship.

Work Environment

This role involves both office and field work, including time spent at concrete plants and construction sites. Candidates should be comfortable working in outdoor environments and around heavy equipment.

Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around construction sites and production facilities for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift and carry materials or equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Tolerance for working in varying weather conditions including heat, cold, and rain.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
  • Occasional climbing, bending, and kneeling may be required.
